What is Affirm^TM?
Affirm is an innovative new technology that enhances the fertility of semen and improves conception rates. The Affirm technology is exclusive to Accelerated Genetics and is not offered from any other A.I. company. Affirm semen has a unique procedure applied during semen processing. It is not a feed additive or farm product to improve reproduction.

How do the conception rates of Affirm semen compare to the conception rates of conventional semen?
Research has shown a measurable increase in conception rates on individual bulls with semen processed using the Affirm technology. Recent results in actual field trials have shown that for each 100 breedings producers achieved an additional 6 pregnancies using the Affirm semen as compared to conventional semen. Actual field trial data and results were analyzed and confirmed by an independent third party during the fall of 2006.

Can I use it on both cows and heifers?
Yes the flexibility of Affirm allows it to be used on both cows and heifers. Affirm can also be used on both dairy and beef operations.

What are the benefits of using Affirm?Affirm increases conception rates and improves overall reproductive efficiencies. In addition a producer will have more calves on the ground overtime reduced breeding expenses and improved profitability.

Does Affirm semen require any special equipment or handling techniques?
No. Affirm can be handled and inseminated with the same equipment and in the same manner as conventional semen. Affirm is also well-suited for all estrus synchronization protocols including the ASAP program from Accelerated Genetics.

How does Affirm increase conception rates?
The Affirm technology is a proprietary technology developed through extensive research by Accelerated Genetics and proven in field trials across the country and internationally. Affirm enhances the fertility of semen; however it does not modify the genetic make-up of the semen.

Is Affirm semen available from all bulls in the Accelerated Genetics line-up?
Affirm semen is available on all sires processed at the Westby Production Facility including PACE young sires. Affirm semen is not yet available from custom processed sires.

What is the Accelerated Genetics commitment to "Fertility First"?
Accelerated Genetics is committed to introducing products that will help dairy producers improve conception rates and get more calves born. According to Accelerated Genetics research existing sexed semen technologies enhance heifer percentages but sacrifice conception. Therefore Accelerated Genetics put "Fertility First" in the research and development of Bovitel semen.

No. Affirm is a proprietary technology developed by Accelerated Genetics research exclusively for Accelerated Genetics.

How will I know if Affirm is working on my operation?
Producers can begin to realize the effects of Affirm when fewer animals need additional inseminations to become pregnant over time. At the end of the year producers should see more calves on the ground. In addition producers should have decreased breeding expenses reduced time spent breeding and overall improved reproductive efficiency.

How can I tell the difference between the Affirm semen packaging and other Accelerated Genetics semen?
The can tops on Affirm semen list the following information from top to bottom: Sires Short Name Sires NAAB Number followed by a dashed line.

Can Affirm be used by organic dairies?
Yes like conventional A.I. semen Affirm can be used in breeding protocols on organic dairies.
