014AN00377 A A R Ten X 7008 S A turns 10 year of age on February 9, 2017.
Bred and raised by the late Tony Stein and Doug and Keith Arntzen at Arntzen Angus Ranch in Hilger, MT, Ten X burst on the scene at the high selling bull at their annual bull sale in 2008 where he sold to Ken Bodner from Raynesford, MT. His first sons from Bodner Angus and Rollin Rock Angus dominated the 2011 Performance Breeder’s Bull Sale in Sidney, MT. Following the sale, he was leased to Accelerated Genetics.

Over the course of the next six years, Ten X has risen to the top of the Angus breed where he was the #1 sire for registrations for fiscal years 2014-15 and 2015-16 for the American Angus Association. He currently has nearly 21,000 head registered in the breed, ranking in the top 25 sires for lifetime registrations.

A performance giant, Ten X has set the standard for growth along with calving ease and carcass merit. He currently has over 16,000 birth and weaning records and nearly 9500 yearling records. He is one of the high accuracy sires for carcass merit with over 9000 ultrasound records and 75 carcass records. He formerly had earned the distinction of the #1 sire in the breed for $Beef value in the National Cattle Evaluation report.

A strong maternal sire as well, Ten X recently earned the distinction of a Pathfinder Sire by the American Angus Association. He currently has 2200 daughters in over 550 herds who are averaging 101 on their weaning ratios.

Ten X has set sales records for beef sires at Accelerated Genetics during his tenure and will go down as one of the great sires ever in the AI industry. At ten years of age, Ten X remains in stud and on production.

Happy Birthday, Ten X and wishing you many more!
