III. General Skills/Duties and Responsibilities:
B. Hardware – networking experience with: Server 2008, Microsoft Office 2003 or newer, basic hardware troubleshooting skills.
C. Familiar with Windows, Android and Mac OSX. IOS a plus.
D. Develop, manage and maintain websites, web-applications and web services for Accelerated Genetics. This includes, but is not limited to: public websites, company intranets, company extranets, web-portals and/or web services. This includes providing professional suggestions and/or industry standard changes when addressing any website, web-application and/or web service.
E. Research and improve website traffic, search engine ranking and overall website statistics to grow Accelerated Genetics web presence to more customers and employees.
F. Develop, manage and maintain client-server applications using Microsoft .NET. This includes training employees on all software developed, debugging and testing all software developed.
G. Assist with training for Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Also researching new Microsoft technologies as they become available to the marketplace.
H. Assist with all operations of our company databases.
I. Keep the Vice President - Information Systems and other personnel informed of all user requests, project progress and advised of any hardware or software problems and/or upgrades deemed necessary.
J. Assist with user help desk issues, work station and server troubleshooting, email server processes and procedures, backups and general maintenance.
Education: College or technical school graduate with a degree in Computer Science, or Website Development.
Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in PC and/or web-application development and a working knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
Characteristics: This person must have good communication skills, be a self-starter, flexible while managing multiple projects in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment and have the ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with the person’s qualifications and will reflect present market for positions of similar responsibility.
