Accelerated Genetics Donates to Cattle for Christ

CFC

In 2009, Accelerated Genetics joined forces with Cattle for Christ International, Inc., to donate 1,200 units of Brahman, Brown Swiss and Holstein semen to a village in Peru. Glenn Crumpler, cattleman from Enterprise, Ala. is the founder and president of Cattle for Christ International. In order to best utilize on the donated semen, the Cattle for Christ team also trained a number of A.I. technicians who have since strived to improve their livestock using our donated genetics.

David Yarbrough, International Sales Manager, worked with the project.

“The hope is that this will make them more productive and improve the economic situation these people live in.  Maybe someday they will be customers, but that is not why we did this … This was strictly a humanitarian project that we felt good about getting involved with,” Yarbrough said.

Additionally, the staff in the Westby facility worked with many of our animal health products suppliers to have breeding supplies such as semen tanks, A.I. kits and breeding gloves donated to the project.
